To get past these obstacles, shoot out the lights and stick to the shadows of the darkness. Some enemies carry light cannons and flash bangs, and certain areas will have lights that can severely limit Jackie's mobility. Also, take the time to listen to Johnny talk about each Relic in the Pause menu or the back room of the Library in your Mansion. The lights throughout the game can weaken and temporally render Jackie's powers useless. Most of the time you have to walk and explore the abandoned apartment of your deceased grandfather, to which you came for an old family album, but strange things begin to happen in the apartment, the one who lives in darkness will not let you go so easily.

You have New Game+ to pick up the ones you missed, and you need the 300 Darkness Essence per Relic to upgrade Jackie's skill trees as much as possible. Letting achievements rule your fun is no way to game, says I.Ģ) With that said, any Relic (collectibles of The Darkness II) you do happen to run across must be picked up. 1) The first play-through: Don't bother with trying to tag menial cumulative or collectible achievements in this run - don't even look at the achievements just yet - let the story unfold and enjoy the game for what it is something designed for fun.
